At Salesianum, spiritual development is welcomed and encouraged — as individuals, small groups of brothers, or the entire school.

That’s why we offer access to the Sacraments and opportunities for prayer and reflection, fostering a stronger sense of faith and self. 

Spiritual gatherings at Salesianum

  • School Mass

    Each Salesianum house sponsors one school Mass throughout the year, taking charge of planning the theme, selecting music, — and serving as altar servers, lectors, gift bearers, and ushers. The highlight is the Salesian Reflection, the powerful student-delivered statement that challenges us all to live lives of optimism and humility.

  • Seasonal Liturgical Opportunities

    The Center for Faith, Justice and Leadership organizes liturgical experiences and prayer, including opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Advent and Lent, as well as Advent Prayer Services, Stations of the Cross, and other prayer services. 

  • Spiritual Direction, Sacraments, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

    Young men interested in receiving the Sacraments, spiritual advice, pastoral counseling, or information about becoming Catholic can always find support at the Center for Faith, Justice and Leadership. 

  • Prayer Requests and Intentions

    From prayers for health and well-being to prayers of thanksgiving and celebration, students are welcome to send requests directly to Mr. David Freebery. When submitting a prayer, please note if you’d like your intention added to the book of prayer intentions in the school chapel, prayed over publicly in the morning announcements, or remembered privately by the Center for Faith, Justice and Leadership staff.
