BRIDGE Program

Getting uncomfortable.
Gaining perspective.

The “bridge” in BRIDGE Program stands for Building Relationships In Diverse Global Environments. Participants travel to new communities and contexts outside their comfort zones — building bridges of empathy and connection in the process.

From gang-impacted communities in Los Angeles to the urban poverty in El Salvador, young men hear multiple viewpoints firsthand about real-world challenges. The result: a uniquely Salesian experience where students don’t attempt to save the world — they simply learn to understand it better.

Domestic & International BRIDGE Trips

Domestic Trips

Students learn more about the issues faced in our country’s communities including gang violence in Los Angeles, flood damage in West Virginia, addiction in Camden, New Jersey, and civil rights in Atlanta, Georgia.

International Trips

Through Oblate connections, students gain a global perspective by walking in the footsteps of St. Oscar Romero and the Jesuit Martyrs in El Salvador. In previous years, student groups have traveled to Benin, Ecuador, Mexico, and Haiti.

Learn more about spirituality and leadership at Salesianum

Experience “Living Jesus” for yourself.

Whether you schedule a tour or attend one of our events, it only takes one visit to see why young men and their families are choosing Salesianum.
Salesianum School educates and develops the whole person based on the teaching of Saint Francis de Sales, whose spirituality can be summarized in “Live Jesus.” As an independent Catholic secondary school founded by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in 1903, Salesianum challenges young men through dynamic college preparatory and extracurricular programs to live as Salesian Gentlemen devoted to faith, community, and service.
