Salesianum Students Honored with Prestigious Nominations to U.S. Service Academies

U.S. Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester, along with U.S. Senators Tom Carper and Chris Coons, announced the nomination of three Salesianum School students for admission to the United States Service Academies for the Class of 2029. These nominations are a testament to the students' exceptional dedication, leadership, and academic achievements.
  • Nicholas Gioia: Nominated to the United States Military Academy at West Point and the United States Naval Academy.
  • Jacob Girard: Nominated to the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Naval Academy.
  • Luke Housey: Nominated to the United States Naval Academy.
Members of Congress are responsible for nominating outstanding candidates for admission to four prestigious service academies: the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point. After receiving these nominations, the academies must accept candidates to secure admission.

Representative Blunt Rochester selected students with guidance from a selection panel of community members, including active-duty and retired servicemembers. This rigorous process identifies individuals who demonstrate the qualities required to succeed and lead at the academies. The school community is proud of their accomplishments and excited to see them represent Salesianum and the nation.
