Eric Yoon '24 Named Finalist in National Merit Scholarship Program

We proudly announce that Eric Yoon, Class of 2024, has advanced to finalist status in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. This significant achievement places Eric among an elite group of 15,000 finalists from an initial pool of over 1.3 million students nationwide.

The National Merit Scholarship Program, established in 1955, is a highly competitive academic competition that recognizes and honors the most talented high school students across the United States. To become a finalist, a semifinalist must have an outstanding academic record throughout high school, be endorsed and recommended by the school principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm the student's earlier qualifying test performance. These Semifinalists then submit a detailed scholarship application, including essays and information about extracurricular achievements, leadership positions, and academic records. Only the most exceptional students advance to become Finalists. All Merit Scholarship winners are chosen from this group. Merit Scholar designees are selected based on their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

Eric was honored for his outstanding achievement during our recent Commencement Exercises. We congratulate Eric Yoon for reaching this remarkable milestone and wish him the best of luck as he competes in the final stages of the National Merit Scholarship Program. His success is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the pursuit of excellence.
