At Salesianum, giving does more than support today’s goals. It fuels the school’s ongoing mission well into the future. 

That’s why gifts of all sizes are essential to Salesianum. In fact, small gifts account for more than half of our charitable contributions. By giving, you can participate in a special act of solidarity — and play your part in an incredible school journey that’s lived on for over 100 years. 

Levels of Giving

  • DeSales Partners ($5,000 and up)

    A select group of our most committed donors, this level moves the needle on mission-critical initiatives across campus including access, affordability, curriculum, and programming.
     
    Benefits include:
    • Recognition as a DeSales Partners member in our Honor Roll of Donors
    • Special briefings from Salesianum leadership
    • Invitations to special programming and events 
    • Free admission to school events with a Gold Card
    • Helping thousands of current and future Salesian students fulfill their potential

  • 1903 Society ($1,000 - $4,999)

    Drawing upon the year of the founding of Salesianum, the 1903 Society is filled with alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends who provide the vision and foundation for our school to thrive.
     
    Benefits include:
    • Recognition as a 1903 Society member in our Honor Roll of Donors
    • Invitations to special programming and events 
    • Free admission to school events with a Gold Card
    • Enabling students, faculty, and staff to reach their full potential

  • 8th & West ($251 - $999)

    A nod to our school’s original address, 8th & West members support the traditions and history that make Salesianum so impactful.

  • Club Jug ($1 - $250)

    No one wants JUG, but everyone can stay out of trouble with a Club Jug gift.

Ways to Give

  • Checks and Online Gifts

    Use your credit card to make a contribution on our secure website, or mail a check to Salesianum School Annual Fund, 1801 N. Broom Street, Wilmington, DE 19802.

  • Stocks and Mutual Funds

    Gifts of appreciated securities are a smart, simple way to maximize your contribution’s effectiveness. By transferring ownership of your long-term stock to Salesianum, you support the school, avoid the capital gains tax you would pay if the stock were sold, and may claim a charitable income tax deduction for the current fair market value of the asset. 

  • Matching Gifts

    If supported by your employer, corporate matching gifts provide the opportunity to double or even triple, your contribution. To determine eligibility, contact your employer’s HR department or contact our Advancement team.

  • Corporate and Foundation

    The Alumni/Advancement Office works with corporate and foundation donors to achieve the school’s strategic goals. If you believe your company may present a partnership opportunity, or if you are interested in learning more about partnership opportunities, please contact our Advancement team. 

  • Bequests

    You can give a variety of assets — including cash, securities, real estate, interest in a business, and collectibles — by designating Salesianum as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, donor-advised fund, life insurance policy, investment account, or bank account. Assets bypass probate and go directly to the school.

Salesianum School educates and develops the whole person based on the teaching of Saint Francis de Sales, whose spirituality can be summarized in “Live Jesus.” As an independent Catholic secondary school founded by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in 1903, Salesianum challenges young men through dynamic college preparatory and extracurricular programs to live as Salesian Gentlemen devoted to faith, community, and service.
