Intramural Sports


Salesianum’s intramurals bring large numbers of students together to develop and build relationships in a friendly, community atmosphere.

This program is designed to provide physical activity for the entire student body on the non-varsity level. Individual and team competition is offered. Students are encouraged to propose new intramural offerings to the Director of Activities.

Intramural Bowling

Moderator: Ms. Alexis Walsh - Students and faculty compete in a series of bowling matches.

Flag Football

Moderator: Mr. Heron

Roller Hockey Club

The roller hockey club officially competes in the Blue Diamond High School League during the fall season. There are 2-3 pre-season practices, plus a ten game season with playoffs and a championship game to end the season.

Rugby Club

Moderator: Mr. McGowan - Members of the Rugby Club compete with other school clubs and community clubs with players of high school age. The season begins in Februar y with practices and ends in the second or third week of May. Most matches are on Saturday with occasional matches on Thursdays and Saturdays. Players are under the direction of Coach Chris Wells who will be assisted by other coaches also certified by USA Rugby.

Youth Physical Fitness Club

Moderator: Mr. Brazil - This club trains to compete in the Marine Corps Physical Fitness competition held annually. The competition consists of five basic exercises: sit-ups, push-ups, standing long jump, pull-ups, and a 300-yard shuttle run. The top six individuals represent Salesianum at the regional competition in May.
