Matt Copeland ‘24 Leads Salesianum in Spreading Joy By Participating In The Macy's Believe Campaign, Which Raises Funds for Make-A-Wish® Foundation

Senior Matt Copeland has been campaigning for the Macy’s Believe campaign since he was in first grade. The Macy's Believe campaign invites people of all ages to write letters to Santa and send them through Macy's. Together, we were able to write approximately 765 cards. Last year, Matt’s campaign raised $18,334.00 for the Foundation. He is hoping to do the same this year.

Matt shares how his passion began: “From a young age, my parents instilled in my siblings and me the importance of giving back to the community. The joy it brings to people is contagious, and writing these letters is an easy way to bring a smile to a sick child’s face.”

Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish®, up to $1 million nationwide. Every letter received contributes towards granting a sick child’s wish. Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in the United States and nearly 50 countries worldwide.

We are proud of Matt's dedication to the program over the years and his passion for sharing it with the Salesianum community.
