Seniors Receive Academic Scholarships

Our school nominates young men for the Clarkson Scholars, Rennslear Medal, and Saint Michael’s College Book Award for Academic Achievement and Social Conscience in the spring. This year's recipients were honored and presented the awards by Director of College and School Counseling Deneen Brown during our all-school Prep meeting. Congratulations to our seniors who received the awards: Luke Steinrock-Clarkson Scholars, Nick Martin-Rensselaer Medal, and Deron Tschuente, Saint Michael's College Book Award for Academic Achievement and Social Conscience.

Luke Steinrock was awarded for demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities, positively contributing to our school and community, taking advanced high school courses, and achieving an academic class rank in the top fifteen percent. As an awardee, he will receive a $4,000 scholarship ($1,000 per year) towards tuition if he attends The Clarkson School or Clarkson University.

The Rensselaer Medal Award was given to Nick Martin for his superlative academic achievement and his interest in science, engineering, and technology. This award includes a merit scholarship, with a value of $30,000 per year, and is guaranteed for four years (five years for the B.Arch. program or the Co-Terminal Program) if he is accepted and enrolled at Rensselaer.

The Saint Michael’s College Book Award for Academic Achievement and Social Conscience recipient was Deron Tschuente, who was recognized for his academic success and exemplary community service involvement. Deron's accomplishments embody St. Mike’s commitment to intellectual achievement, social justice, and concern for others. Deron will be considered for the Book Award Scholarship, a renewable, four-year merit scholarship ranging from $17,000 to full tuition if he chooses to attend Saint Michael's College.

We are proud of our student's accomplishments! Congratulations!
