Salesianum Welcomes Ciro Poppiti III '89 for Law Day
Salesianum School is pleased to welcome Ciro Poppiti III ’89, the New Castle County Register of Wills, as the speaker at the 33rd Annual Law Day Breakfast at Salesianum School on Thursday, May 17, 2012.
Ciro will speak to the topic “Reflections on being the son of a Delaware lawyer.” Ciro’s father, a 1953 Salesianum graduate, recently marked his 50th year as a member of the Delaware Bar.
Ciro was elected Register of Wills in November 2010. He was born in raised in New Castle County. He is a graduate of Princeton University and Widener Law School. He is a member of the Delaware Bar, and before becoming Register, practiced in the area of estate law.
In 2007, Ciro was recognized for being a civic activist and received the Wilmington Award from Mayor Baker for outstanding community service. He is active in the Italian-American community, and was the founding chairman of the Delaware Commission on Italian Heritage and Culture.
Ciro writes frequently and has written a regular column for several publications over the years. He and his wife, Laura, live in north Wilmington with their two children, Jake and Louise.
