Visit Our Campus

Visiting Salesianum is the best way to learn more about the school and get a sense of our strong and spirited community.

8th Grade Students

In addition to attending our Open House, eighth grade students, as well as prospective transfer students, are encouraged to experience a typical school day by “shadowing” a current student at Salesianum.

Parents may arrange a visit by calling Admissions at (302) 654-2495 x148. We recommend calling several weeks prior to your intended visit, and to have multiple days open for a possible visit day. Visits begin in October and run through the spring. We try hard to accommodate a student's request to visit on a particular day, but space is limited to ensure minimal classroom disruption for current students.

What to expect on your shadow day:

  • Students are to arrive by 8:15 a.m.
  • Dress code is a dress shirt, slacks, tie, dress shoes, and a sport coat (optional).
  • Students will be provided with a free lunch voucher to be used in the school’s Dining Center but may bring their own lunch.

Open House

The best way to understand all that Salesianum has to offer is to visit us in person. Join us for the annual Open House and meet the teachers, coaches and some of the students who make our community special. Explore the curriculum, learn more about student life and activities, and tour the campus. The program ncludes guided tours, academic presentations, reflections from administrators and students, fine art exhibits and laboratory demonstrations.

7th Grade Students

Prospective parents and 7th grade students are invited to attend a 7th grade visit day. This program provides parents with a tour of our campus, classroom visits and a question and answer session with administrators while students spend time in class followed by a tour with current students. This opportunity is open to 7th grade students and their parents and is limited to 15 families per session. Each session runs from 9-11 a.m.  Please register for one of the following dates by contacting Mrs. Barbara Palena at
