Salesianum Model UN Delegation Participates in UNA-USA Conference

Four students recognized as outstanding delegates

Members of the Salesianum Model United Nations Program participated in the Model United Nations Conference sponsored by the United Nations Association of the United States of America held at the United Nation Headquarters in New York City, in May. Outstanding Delegate Certificates were awarded to seniors Daniel Ciabattoni, Michael McCarthy, Zachary Erdman, and junior Peter Palena. In addition, Ciabatonni and McCarthy were presented with a special Letter of Commendation for their four years of excellence and dedicated service to the Model UN Program.

This highly competitive, international conference hosts approximately 2,300 student delegates from around the world. At the conference, students debated various topics including the protection of nuclear materials, the relationship of the global community with Iran, and the combating of infectious diseases.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
