LifeSmarts Team Finishes Fifth in the Nation

Salesianum School’s LifeSmarts Team represented the state of Delaware at the National LifeSmarts Competition in St. Louis, MO, and finished fifth in the nation. This is the eighth consecutive year that Salesianum has been recognized as the LifeSmarts state champion.

LifeSmarts is a fun program, run by the National Consumers League that encourages high school students to learn about the consumer issues they face today and the new challenges that are right around the corner. The competition covers topics of health and safety, the environment, personal finance, consumer rights, and technology. Salesianum’s team consisted of (juniors) Keegan Casella, Christian Bale, Andrew Benenati, Tyler Azevedo, Phil Yacovella, and (sophomore) Stephen Gilcrest. They are coached by Mr. George Horn. This is the eighth consecutive year that Salesianum has been recognized as the LifeSmarts state champion.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
