Salesianum School Named One of Top 50
Catholic High Schools for Second Straight Year

Wilmington, Del. - Salesianum School has been named one of the country’s 50 best Catholic High Schools by the Catholic High School Honor Roll for the second straight year. This is the third time the school has received this prestigious honor since 2004.

“To be recognized as a Top 50 school for a second consecutive year by the Catholic High School Honor Roll is a tremendous honor shared by the entire school community,” said Fr. William McCandless, OSFS, Salesianum’s principal. “Just as last year, the rigorous evaluation process enabled us to clearly demonstrate who we are at Salesianum School, and affirmed our mission to educate young men in the example of St. Francis de Sales.”

The primary goal of the Honor Roll is to encourage schools to educate their students as effectively as possible, in a way that integrates Catholic faith and prepares students for active engagement in the world. Schools are evaluated on their levels of quality in academics, Catholic identity, and civic education.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
