Teacher George Horn Recognized by the Rotary Club with Service Above Self Award

Salesianum School faculty member George Horn was honored by the Rotary Club of Wilmington West with the Service Above Self Award. This award is in recognition of Mr. Horn’s work with the Interact Club. Interact is a service club, which does varies types of service outreach programs in the Wilmington community. The club is joint venture between Salesianum and the Rotary Club.

In addition to his work with the Interact Club, Mr. Horn is also the coach of the state champion LifeSmarts Team, and served as varsity Ice Hockey coach. By day Mr. Horn is the Chair of the Business Education Department at Salesianum and teachers courses in Marketing, Consumer Economics, Internet Research and AP Economics. Mr. Horn earned a degree in Business Education from Delaware State University, and has been teaching at Salesianum since 1999.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
