Salesianum Teacher Jennifer Albanese Named Outstanding Biology Teacher for the State of Delaware

Wilmington, Del- Salesianum teacher Jennifer Albanese was named Outstanding Biology Teacher for the state of Delaware by the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT). Ms. Albanese will be honored at the NABT Conference in Memphis on October 17. NABT will honor one teacher from each state, the District of Columbia, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the Pacific Territories.

Ms. Albanese began her teaching career at Salesianum in 1996. In her time at Salesianum she has taught cell biology, biology, and anatomy and physiology. She holds a B.A. in Biology from the University of Delaware and a Master’s in School Counseling from Villanova University.

“We are extremely proud of Jennifer’s accomplishment,” said Fr. William McCandless, OSFS, school principal. “She has been such a tremendous teacher here at Salesianum over the years that this accolade is most certainly fitting.”

The National Association of Biology Teachers empowers educators to provide the best possible biology and life science education for all students.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
